Many people’s online identity paints a perfect life & happy picture, which in face to face reality is not always the case. Not only in the case of perfect looks & achievements, but also in an emotional context. Only positive emotions are painted as expectable. Particularly with young people growing up with digital medias & online environments, I worry about the perfection pressure and the effects its having on today’s youth. Does it cause further isolation for those who don’t feel they don’t measure up? Hiding behind the safety of a screen?
